The author behind the saga
John Librande
A storyteller of the American frontier, writing from Hayden, Idaho.
John Librande was born in Rice Lake, Wisconsin, and grew up on a dairy farm. The rhythm of farm life, the early mornings, the long days, and the satisfaction of honest work, settled deep and never quite left him.
After his family moved to North Idaho in 1976, he finished his education and put down roots that have held ever since. Today he lives in Hayden, Idaho, where he owns and operates a small business.
He and his wife, Barbara, have raised a remarkable family together: eight children, eighteen grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. For years, Barbara encouraged him to set his stories down on the page. He finally gave it a try.
The result is the Robert “Rabbit” Gould Saga, a thirteen-novel journey across the American frontier that follows a young man from a wagon train bound for Colorado to a lawman’s badge and a rancher’s hard country. Barbara has joined him as co-author on several volumes, and the story has grown, book by book, into one continuous ride through the Old West.
I hope you all enjoy reading my books as much as I do writing them. John LibrandeRead the Saga
